Captain`s Notes.
Good Friday heralded a new Falcon`s championship in glorious sunshine which hopefully augurs well for the season ahead!
A record turnout of 19 were challenged to difficult conditions with Easter falling so early, the greens still in a protective winter coating of sand.
Undeterred, there was some healthy scoring with 12 players breaking the 30 points mark.
Your Captain was convinced he was watching the next champion as early as the first round with Chris Tatham clearly targeting a mid-40s card until blobs appeared on the 17th and 18th to peg him back to a no less impressive 39 points and handicap reduction for his next outing!
Questions were raised however over the Great Regano’s calling for a blood replacement from the trees!
A special mention for Adrian who has at last listened to Faye and made a small clearing in the centre of his shop to allow in customers.
I am pleased to report assisting in the de-cluttering exercise on behalf of the Falcons tourists by spending the prize fund in readiness for South Devon!

Brief note regarding Machynys from the Captain
"I have not held on to the results of the day in keeping with it being and end of season friendly. I was able to team up low, middle and high handicaps as a result to allow partnering not normally made. We were graced with fabulous sunny weather and little wind, although rather nippy for those of us of a fair weather mentality. Disappointingly there were only 10 attendees (including a rare outing for Neil Jordan!) and an initial crisis as the club were looking for a minimum payment for at least 12. Hon Sec rode out the crisis and persuaded them to go with the 10 who attended, so all was well in the end. Nonetheless, we will be looking to mix it up a little for the end of next year!"
